    At the halfway point I was thinking “wow I’m so happy to rediscover the magic of life with my daughter” but then the remaining 20 minutes I spent alternately bribing and threatening her to stop talking and singing.

    lol saw it in IMAX at the Royal British Colombia Museum and it was 100% enjoyable. sea otters are so perfect and cute and important to our ecosystems 😭🥲🥲🥲

    Looking at the letterboxd run time and the fact that I know what I saw was 40-45 minutes, I believe so much of the “dead air” wide panning shots of anything but otters was due to there being a theatrical version and another secret version maybe for streaming? Idk Family…

    neither the mama or the baby otter die and are very cute the whole time. they were named, but admittedly i forgot them the moment i left the theatre. watched on IMAX at Royal BC Museum's 6 story screen, it is very possible this influenced my viewing experience as i could…
