Screamplay

Mixing together aesthetic elements of both 1920’s horror à la Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Val Lewton-esque shadowplay, Screamplay is the only film made by its artist/director and lead actor Rufus B. Seder, and honestly it’s a fascinating delight. A black and white Hollywood…

Ian West

Brought to life by creator Rufus Butler Seder and cinematic misfits George Kuchar and Lloyd Kauffman, Screamplay is like Nosferatu/Day of the Locust meets John Waters - a murderously surreal black and white 16mm trip into the heart of Hollywoodland, unlike any other Troma…

Well, this is one of those times where I'm going to have to disagree with the mass majority. It felt like someone who only saw the worst old movies decided to use that for inspiration for this low budget flick. It's filmed in black and white of course and the actors are…

Justin Decloux

The main character has completely absorbed silent film star Conrad Veidt and plunked him out into the modern age. Well, a modern age. I'm not sure which one. Should only be watched at 2am preferably with a David Lynch character beside you. It'll probably look like a…

StreetNoise

Completely understand the positive reviews for this as it is pretty unique. The quirky humor did not work for me though and the old timey aesthetic got tired real fast.

FakeVoorhees

This is one of the best I've ever seen. This was so entertaining and enjoyable it's got me posting a dead serious recommendation. WATCH THIS!!!!
