Synopsis
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Sonia Ammar.

kayl lovedScream9/10 oh my god. Dewey was being stupid. im not even upset he died bc he was being dumb. BUT I WAS ABLE TO GUESS THE KILLERS THIS TIME! i love how they complain ab Stab 8 being called Stab, and then Scream 5 is called Scream 💀 i cant wait for the next movie next month!!

The main reason I say this is because there’s a lot of references to the original scream movies and so it doesn’t really feel like a remake because it also continues on from earlier films. Lots of crazy plot twists as well! Recommend 🔟🔟🔟

Was not the best movie. First half was slow and boring and not memorable. Definitely happy I got my ticket discounted for 4 bucks cuz paying full price for this trash would have been scarier than the actually movie.

Sure, there’s some fun in all that meta-playfulness. But there’s also a facetiousness that wears thin and intrudes on the killing spree, making me often wish I was watching any one of the superior movies being referenced.

The new Scream is about as good as “Scream 2” was — it keeps the thrill of the original “Scream” bouncing in the air like a blood-drenched balloon — but the film is basically a set of variations on a very old sleight-of-hand fear blueprint. Except that it’s now old enough to seem new again.

The stalk ‘n’ slash sequences, though decent, can’t match Craven’s mastery of mood and mechanics, but the new guys understand that Scream movies are sick as well as slick.
