Synopsis
Following the death of his father, energetic and free-spirited Rickey (Michael Angarano) convinces long-time friend Glenn (Michael Cera) to go on an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento. Frustrated by Rickey's Peter Pan complex, Glenn is encouraged by his pregnant wife Rosie (Kristen Stewart) to go on the adventure to reconnect. joeJun 8, 2024As someone who’s old enough to have seen the likes of “Superbad” and “Youth in Revolt” when they first opened in theaters, it’s hard not to feel a little unstuck in time as I watch millennial teen icon Michael Cera make the gradual transition towards dad roles (no, the…

I was having a mild panic attack through much of this movie (unrelated) which was so goddamn funny once I realized what it was about. I burst into tears of catharsis. But also, exhausted tears. If you liked Sideways and A Real Pain, (and like, maybe Swingers), you’ll like…

I know most of the cast to be comedic, but this wasn't anywhere close to funny. There wasn't much overall enjoyment either, as I giggled maybe once and lost interest after I realised there was no actual plot. Maybe if I were a first-time parent, I would relate more, but I don't plan on ever having…
3.5/10 just cousins get invested to any part of this movie. It felt weirdly similar to the Kieran mcculkan and Jessie eseinverb (I know I spelt those names wrong) movie that recently came out. Too many similarities and even that movie wasn’t great.

This movie was OK to me. It’s just a little too out there at times and weird to watch. Some of it can be a little bit relatable but overall it’s just kind of dumb.
Very good cast and fairly interesting plot. I give it props for being like the indie movies of yesterday. But I really struggled with the Michael Cera character.

very cute. the performances are fairly good, i really like michael cera on this one. a story of grief, solitude and moving on.
A fun indie movie with lots of heart. I just couldn’t look away how neither of the leads could grow a beard.
