Atom User Reviews for Rush: Cinema Strangiato 2019
Everything Rush has always been... Amazing, larger than life, still down to earth, hilarious. Thank you so much for sharing your music with us for so many years, and being such in integral part of my life. This was a completely immersive experience!!
I loved Rush before. I love them more. Not sure how thatโs possible
This was an awesome Cinema Strangiato!!! And what a great way to celebrate my 56th birthday ๐๐ถ๐ I can't wait till next year!๐
As a life long Rush fan , I have loved this band since the Mid 1970โs. I loved every minute of it. I laughed, I Cried, my feet never stopped tapping. Surrounded by Rush Fans. Hopefully my wife understands better now my devotion to Rush!
Just like ALL the concerts.... OUTSTANDING
We have watched our fair share of Rush content on YouTube, etc. This was really different and so much better. I took my 13 year old son last night, who is the next generation of Rush fandom. If you have not seen Rush in concert, this is probably the next best thing. Incredible acoustics, huge screen, great concert content and footage plus a montage of interviews and added creativity. The close, high-def coverage of these 3 masters playing instruments gives you a deeper glimpse of just how incredibly talented they are. Rush is endearing because they are the pinnacle of talent, courage, resiliency and success in the music business, but they are incredibly humble, down to earth, everyday guys with a message that resonates with so many. This show is a must see for rock fans in general. We will own the DVD if they release it. Thank you Rush for feeding our appetites after you stopped touring.
Rush concert was awesome
Miss those guys - this was a fun trip back
Outstanding event, it's a must see for any Rush fan.
RUSH is the best!! Great movie for their fans!! Long live their music!
True Rush fans came out in droves!! Beautiful night!!
Must see if your a Rush fan!
I could have done without all of the music/band promos at the beginning because most of them were not any kind of music I like. But the movie itself was great, I loved seeing R40 on the big screen.
While I expected a great concert, this movie was better than I expected because of all the comedy snippets and interviews. Who knew these musical masters were so funny? Would have loved to see a Peart SOLO (why wasn't one in there?) and more of a sitting camera with the band jamming. Best thing about this movie was everything. The worst thing was the poor level of marketing by Atom and whoever else who did not promote this masterpiece enough.
Been a Rush fan since their first album. When I found out they put out a movie I purchased tickets online as fast as I could. Movie was awesome, Rush was awesome as usual. I went to the R40 concert but as always I can never get enough of the best trio band ever!!! Cheers!
If you are like me and have new been able to get up close and see the genius of RUSH, this movie allows that experience. You can listen to the music till your ears bleed, I have, but not until you see the action up close will you appreciate all that is put into creating this amazing sound!!
a must see for all RUSHIANS. too bad we had to sit through over 30 minutes of BS trailers for other crap.
Let's face it, if you bought a ticket for this, you're going to rate it a "5". Perhaps someone's wife who was dragged along to the show might rate it a "4", but no lower.
Awesome production. The only negative is it makes you realize how much you miss seeing them live and reminds you of the fact that they're done.
The band continues to give a kind nod to the fans... and - as always - we love them for it!
Sound quality , at first, was very flat (not dynamic), and very slightly off sync
The moron projectionist@Harkins Theaters, Queen Creek, Az. had the f**king volume up to %$#@! loud my ears were bleeding, they ruined the entire experience....I love RUSH, and have been buying their albums and seeing them in concert since the 80's, this was a real let down since we weren't able to attend the R40 show....thanks a lot Harkins theaters, you f**king BLEW IT!!!
Kinda not like a real concert
Loved it! Any time i can see RUSH on the big screen is a treat. Loved all the extra little stuff in it.
Everything I hoped for. Long live RUSH!!!
If you saw this, you will reminisce the R40 concert.
Awesome. Brought back all the emotions of the R40 concerts. A must see for all Rush fans. Can't wait for the Blu Ray. Miss them even more now.
It was just Rush. It was breathtaking, inspiring, and powerful.
Absolutely amazing! Iโm a HUGE Rush fan and being able to see them perform again on the silver screen was exactly what I needed after they stopped touring in 2015 at the conclusion of R40. I miss them dearly ... this was the next best thing to seeing them live! Brought back lots of wonderful memories of going to shows! Love those guys!!!!
Awesome movie! Just like being at the concert. Wonder what they will bring to us next year
Beautifully shot and the sound was incredible ๐ค๐ผ
Exactly what I was waiting for. I couldโve watched another 10hrs if theyโd let me. Must see for all Rush fans!!!
Movie great. Theater less than desirable.
A must see for any Rush fan!
Another quality RUSH Production as all there concerts used to be. Hope they do it again next year!!!
Seeing/Hearing โLosing Itโ played live was worth the price of admission. Music wasโof courseโgreat, and loud enough we could all sing along and not bother anyone. We cheered with the audiences. Someone yelled out about halfway through, โItโs only a movieโ. We laughed, but if he was serious, he needed to go home. No Neil Drum Solo, and *where* can I get Alexโs T-shirt??
Imagine being at a live Rush concert but getting to see every camera angle. Thatโs how I felt watching this. Loved all the extra stuff cut into the concert too. The deconstruction of the stage from end to beginning was just genius. Exactly what youโd expect from the guys. Amazing and I wish I could see it again!
I have been a Rush fan since 1980. I absolutely believe this was their apex performance.
The movie was amazing. Any RUSH fan would enjoy it. Lots of behind the scenes footage and images. Only bummer was ALL of the commercials at the beginning begore the movie. Over 30 minutes of them!
Love them. Been a fan since the 70โs
It was a great showing of R40+. The stories were great, the sound was awesome and the band, as always, was amazing that night in Toronto.
Tease for another one of these has me giddy, or should that be Geddy. Wife enjoyed the music more than she thought she would, not having seen them live in probably 25 years. For me, having seen them live 14 times, I always dreamt of seeing them in Toronto, tonight I felt like I was there.
It was if I was on the stage. Phenomenal musical experience!
My wife and I loved it!!!! Miss the band a lot but enjoyed seeing this on the big screen. I knew what I was getting up front, but do understand why some folks (even Rush fans) didn't like it as much as I know they were hoping for a lot of "unseen" "backstage footage" type material. But I loved being there with all the other Rush fans cheering them on...even in the theater!!
Love Rush, the music and the backstory, but the song selection was not my fave, and some of the celeb interviews were boring. Would have liked to hear from Alex and Neil more.
Thoroughly enjoyed the music, interviews and the look backstage
Audio in the theater couldโve been better.
Too many ads at the beginning and got off to a slow start but the concert footage and sound was great and built to a grand finale . A nice treat for fans.
I laughed, I cried, I was happy to be alive. I chair danced all the way through!
Outstanding! (The 20 min of often unrelated, unfortunate, opportunistic, insulting advertising was egregious - but that's not RUSH's fault.)
