good social awareness by the director, he knew that the “no internet connection” sign alone would mortify us to death.

in today’s world this feels like a familiar story, echoing both fiction like sharp objects and real stories like gypsy rose blanchard, but that familiarity doesn’t make it any less potent here. i was skeptical, not wanting to indulge this worn out plot that seemingly exists…

I can totally relate to this movie because every time the internet is down I inject myself with some horse tranquilizer.

Despite a script (by Chaganty and Sev Ohanian) that sees no need to flavor its tension with flashbacks or character-fleshing, Run has fun with its ludicrous plot.

Run is stopped dead in its tracks by a howler of a screenplay that regularly calls for various characters to behave as stupidly as the dumbest victim in a splatter movie.

A psychological thriller with frustratingly little to say about the trenches of the human mind, Run nevertheless satisfies as a taut and titillating get-out movie that lands somewhere between HBO’s Sharp Objects and Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?
