I will forever be impressed that a 90 minute movie was able to fit in 3 montages and a full-length performance of Living in America by James Brown.
Bryan EspitiaNov 7, 2018Normal Brain: Stallone went to Russia to make a piece of Cold War propaganda. At least 30 percent of the movie is training montages. Galaxy Brain: Stallone went to Russia to make a tribute to the geniuses of Soviet montage. Rocky IV is at least 30 percent training…

90 percent montage. 5 percent Sylvester Stallone's russia-beard. 2 percent ridiculous 80's robot. 2 percent Carl fucking Weathers getting punched-in-the-head to death. 1 percent not giving a fuck. 100 percent American.
Thomas McCallumNov 8, 2021Cinema peaked with the “Hearts on Fire” montage.
Matt SingerMay 31, 2019Rocky ended the Cold War through the raw power of training montages.

Can’t believe that they introduce Brigitte Nielsen as a champion swimmer and yet don’t give us a climactic swim race between her and Talia Shire
Patrick WillemsJan 15, 2023If he dies. He dies. Has to be one of the coldest lines in movie history. Not the best Rocky movie, but definitely the most fun.
Joe ADec 13, 2020Drago would have won if he fought for the collective and not for himself.

This one is likely my favorite Rocky movie so far out of all of them. While this one does lack the story depth that the first two nailed perfectly, this one is by far the most entertaining one with some realistic fighting and intense sequences. Great movie. 10/10 for me!!!
It told the most story in the most mediocre of ways. Quote: I must break you. Character: the random 80’s robot Moment: the robot and Paulie being a married couple Rating: 5/10

On the 4th of July I almost took this off “love.” But I have to remember what this is about. America vs. Russia. Rocky, our hero, fights against a true menace. An underdog (+450 odds) But his training, his approach, and overall character is enough to make me proud of the U.S.A!

The speech that ended the cold war - I came here tonight, I didn't know what to expect. I've seen a lot of people hatin' me and I didn't know what to feel about that so I guess I didn't like you much then either. During this fight, I seen a lot of changing The way yous felt about me and the…
This one was pretty great. Soundtrack and vibes were on it as always, the compilation of clips after *that thing* happened was emotional and the training montage was amazing as always. I did feel like the sauce of the first 2/maybe 3 was missing but I can always rewatch them so not too big of a…
