I am not American. I really dislike boxing. I generally speaking loathe melo-drama. I respect Stallone, but when he 'acts' he looks like a St. Bernard's dog trying to convey emotions. I am not a fan of sports films. I have every reason to hate this film. But…
DirkHMar 22, 2015I love listening to Rocky's endless ramblings. I love that there is no focus on the result of the fight. And I love everything in between.
AlexJan 18, 2021Apparently Stallone was so broke before he made Rocky that he had to sell his dog to survive and was then able to buy it back after his film's success and if that's not a heart warming story idk what is

went into this fully expecting it to be another Angry Man™ movie but rocky is just so...soft? his turtles?? his fishy?? his doggo?? please protect this man who absolutely does not need protection by any means
eely 👻Dec 28, 2020Rocky invented beating meat. His words, not mine.
sawah 🦖Mar 4, 2023i really like the part where rocky is at the meat locker, and he stops talking mid-conversation to poke some meat and quietly say moo.

watched this in class today. it’s like 10% boxing which was kinda hilarious to me but it was very good.

After years of unintentionally avoiding this movie, I finally sat down and watched it. Many times I have watched an “all time classic” movie and been a little disappointed, but this simply wasn’t that case. Amazing movie! 9/10
Connor Morningred likedRockykinda unrealistic but that’s what movies are for. also long but overall still a good movie

Rocky is one of my favorite movies of all time. Not only is the music & score as memorable and badass as everyone talks about but the story itself is absolutely remarkable. It’s a great example of the perfect “underdog story” . 100% deserved the Oscar, and I am glad it won 🏆
Crimsonen likedRockyA great movie. The acting is good, and it does indeed feel very real. I actually really liked the love story between Rocky and Adrian too. But it does feel slow at times, and could have been shorter. Oh and also, the soundtrack is awesome. 8/10 movie.
Canon Railey lovedRockyThis is my favorite movie of all time. Few movies today build character, atmosphere, and relationships like Rocky does. It’s a character study of an original character, with a story that’s connects us to that character throughout and inspires us with a sense of personal victory.

Such a great slow burn that just gets you going. Best feel-good movies. There are so many small moments, details and practices in this movie that make it incredible. The grainy visuals are perfect, most shots look like paintings. I do dig the 2nd more, but this movie is great
Andrew Gooder lovedRockyI know this is a movie that almost everyone has probably seen already but I just must say I’m disappointed that I didn’t watch this movie sooner. This was a very entertaining film and I do not at all regret watching it. Very good classic and Stallone is awesome. 10/10 for me
KingVonSchweetz likedRockyPleasantly surprised. I don’t usually care for sport films but Stallone really just made it feel like he was just living and cameras were following. Quote: yo Adrian x 327 Character: Rocky Moment: training montage Rating: 8/10
