This movie is very interesting. It’s funny I’m some parts, and well shot. It’s still iconic for what it is. Not mind blowing, Tom Cruises performance is very charming and the pacing is all over the place. Don’t know if it’s ages well, I’ll find out more on rewatch. Right now 7/10

There's still great scenes and excellent song choices, but there wasn't much to latch onto or entertain as I'd hoped.
V likedRisky Businesswatched this for the 3rd time ever. I can’t believe this came out 40 yrs ago. I think I’m gonna be sick. Tom Cruise looks so young but when I watched it he seemed old to me (I was 11 in 83). It’s funny that they thought $40k was an amazing salary for a new Harvard MBA grad 😂😂😂😂

I might upset some people with this, but I think Risky Business is Ferris Bueller… But better. This movie is so so good, the comedy is amazing, the acting is great, and little Tom Cruise is fantastic. The story is so unique and so well done, it gets high praise. Solid 9.5/10

Sure, Risky Business is partially an adolescent fantasy, but it’s even more about how the prosperity pressures placed upon Joel Goodsen have frayed his nerves to the point that he can’t even bring his erotic dreams to fruition.
