The more you drive, the less intelligent you are.

GroovemanSep 16, 2013Ordinary fuckin' people. Repo Man is a strange little slice of brilliance in cult cinema. Some would be quick to write it off as bad or just plain ridiculous. But films like Repo Man are the ones that I relate to the best. Those strange dreamlike nocturnal trips into odd…

"You ever feel like your mind is eroding?" If there was ever a punk rock science fiction movie, this is it. Repo Man is without a doubt the shoddiest film I've ever seen from the Criterion Collection, but somehow its poor workmanship seems to add to the film's unique…

Couldn’t enjoy it any more, mom.
ChrisRyan77A nihilistic, cynical but entertaining piece that could only exist during Reagan/Cold War era America. Rooted by a great central performance by Harry Dean, it is born of the politics of its' time yet not at all a political film. Killer soundtrack for any era. Best God damn…

This film is out of this world, in the sense that I want this as far from me as possible

My dad made me watch this when I had a 103 fever. I don’t know how much of what I remember about the movie is real, but if its right I don’t want to rewatch it anyways.
Another time capsule film that fits its timeline perfectly. The American Hardcore scene is shown in this film in all its best and worst. Plus Aliens? Maybe?

Love all the punk references and the silly tangents that happen, I fully understand why it’s a cult classic
Cool nihilistic, cult classic that has been beautifully shot and features fun outdated effects

Whether it works as a traditional motion picture is up for debate. However, it’s short enough (about 90 minutes) that it never overstays its welcome and is generally a fun, wild ride, even though it may at times be difficult to figure out where the journey began and where, as the 1964 Chevy leaves the streets like Doc’s DeLorean in Back to the Future, it ends.
The real thing. It's a sneakily rude, truly zany farce that treats its lunatic characters with a solemnity that perfectly matches the way in which they see themselves.
A non-stop, shoestring trip with more adventures and a helluva lot more smarts than you'll find in most American movies...All in all, there's more plain fun to be had here in 10 minutes than in a whole hour on the road with that jerk Indiana Jones.
