To quote the the song title "Begin the Beguine" and here we are. This obviously is a revenge flick that we slowly find out that it's not a time travel film but a multidimensional endeavor undertaken by a hellbent mother searching for not only redemption but to find her…

Perhaps a little overlong and initially expository, but the genre trappings quickly take a backseat to a slow burn drama with a really terrific central performance. LOOPER and Benson/Moorhead vibes, suitably gnarly when it counts. Real good stuff.

Simple and cool multiverse story with a touch of revenge....the soundtrack was fantastic. Though it leaves a few questions unanswered bt that’s okay—as the movie is pure fun and truly deserves more attention !!

JesseFeb 22, 2026I really think this film is gonna stand the test of time (and other multi-verses). Seeing again with a sold out crowd (with the directors and star in-person for a Q&A I moderated) was electric, you could feel the audience just trusting the film with it’s bold structure…

Incredibly fascinating concept. Gorgeously composited title card. Strong 1st act with a gnarly 3rd but a really weak 2nd - bites off way more than it can chew in >2hrs. I cringe anytime “multiverse” is mentioned in any medium. Mia’s lines are way too quippy. Good to great acting.
Really really good movie, kept me on my toes. The ending was absolutely crazy and honestly made me tear up a bit, but it was just a little too long imo. Anyways never trust weird middle aged men <3. 8.5
