Godzilla finds out that every rose has its thorn.
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️Mar 10, 2019Green blood goopfest that lives up to its amazing poster. The rubber suits look so good in this, the human plot is not too shabby either, and there’s some next level monster fighting—a perfect balance. I love this era of Godzilla so damn much. Seriously considering buying…

Biollante is too cool to have so little of the screentime.
Inherently VicedJan 25, 2020I was too harsh on this when I first saw it. There's more Godzilla than usual, the human stories have some blockbuster thrust to them, and Biollante is one hell of an original design. Godzilla's face is particularly menacing after decades of his ping-pong eyed look. It's…
Justin DeclouxApr 28, 2021combines the seriousness and geopolitics of return of godzilla with the supernatural whimsy of mothra vs godzilla, to great effect. the introduction of psychics is very cool and fun, and i love the scene where dr shiragami is creating biollante late at night in his lab,…

Aberrant GhoulNov 1, 2025SO many wireframe readouts of Godzilla's big chonky bod...love love love
David Simsrare for a godzilla film, the monster stuff is the weakest portion here, with the coolest looking godzilla enemy ending up just being a minor nuisance more than anything. human stuff is great michael crichton-esque biothriller fare, with tense shootouts and heady…

Such good storytelling that only the Japanese Godzilla movies seem to be able to capture. If this movie had the insane effects the new Godzilla have thus would probably be the best one of them all.
far more modern than the showa era films and for the better, the monsters look pretty fantastic and make for an epic fight. strong effects and performances with a touching narrative

biollante was a lil bit of a letdown, plant godzilla is a concept forsure lol
How could cinema possibly top that shot of Biollante in the lake? It can't
