laurenRebel Without a Cause came along at just the right time for me. I was on the edge of seventeen, fresh off an emotional breakdown, that one undesired side-effect of first world privilege. I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life and tortured by the realization that I…

I love old school classics and I am always trying to watch as many as I can. Watching this movie with James Dean and seeing what an amazing actor he was is just a honor. To have been in this time is such a dream. The plot was amazing.

A coming of age classic that touches on the topics of manhood, freedom and growing up. The film is wildly relevant despite being made in the 50s. The performances are captivating, the score is amazing and the script is great. 8/10 See full review: https://boxd.it/5TQaSh

A great classic with awkward acting and dialogue but I think it kind of lends to the film being about showing a more unpolished side of American life in the 50s instead of glamorizing and sensationalizing everything
Wonderfully acted and superbly written, Rebel Without a Cause is a classic for a reason. I can’t think of a film that better encapsulates American youth culture in the post modern period. 9/10
