That French dude totally eats a fly. Like it just crawls right into his mouth and he acts like nothing happened. More hardcore than Temple of Doom

Looking back on this in today's pop movie landscape is so fascinating because it occupies a strange middle ground between silly, gleeful, highly specified throwback to pulpy B-movies and serials of Spielberg/Lucas youth and the technical, machinelike template for what the…

God, you really hate to see a little monkey do a Nazi salute. I know I’ve seen all of these movies, but it’s been so long this felt like the first time. Unbelievable blocking here. Often imitated, never really replicated– the scene where a guy gets shot and we see it in…

The first Indiana Jones doesn’t quite age as well as far as the pacing in concerned however it’s is still a must watch Classic nonetheless. With fantastic, action, characters and adventures. Probably due for a reboot by 2030 thou 🤔. Rewatching them all before the final one ⚱️

    Raiders of the Lost Ark

Raiders of the Lost Ark grabs you in the first shot, hurtles you through a series of incredible adventures, and deposits you back in reality two hours later -- breathless, dizzy, wrung-out, and with a silly grin on your face.

Harkening back to classic adventure serials of the 1930’s & 40’s, Raiders of the Lost Ark succeeds in recapturing the essence of childlike wonder with it’s white-knuckle action, campy humor, larger-than-life characters & story. It reminds me what it feels like to be a kid again..

9.1/10 One of the best adventure films ever. So many iconic scenes. The finale is a little dated and I think a remastered version wouldn’t be such a bad idea. The vehicles is probably my favorite because of how iconic they are today. Harrison Ford absolutely killed it.

Was better than I remember. Got to see it in the theater and it was a blast. Super fun, action-packed with a sweaty, sexy Harrison Ford. What more could you ask for?

Great movie! So fun to see it again and on the big screen! The action was already on point, but the comfy seats and great sound make it aa whole experience.

Raiders of the Lost Ark has it all—or, anyway, more than enough to transport moviegoers back to the dazzling, thrill-sated matinee idyls of old. It is surely the best two hours of pure entertainment anyone is going to find in the summer of '81.
