This move me was Hella scary it had me jumping through the whole movie. I was literally off my seat on my heels. I would definitely see it again like it wasn’t even past the first scene and I jumped if you are a fan of whore or any scary movies in general this is a must see.
Super predictable and unrealistic. Don’t waste your money or time or money.
Visually, great movie. Cast was enjoyable with their act but story line was predictable. Movie might’ve been better if it was made for a R rating.
There were a few suspenseful scenes and the ending was predictable. Overall enjoyable
Don’t make many exorcist movies nowadays but this one will leave you gripping your seats. A fun, spooky movie to watch if you like scary movies.
Trash
Just ok movie. Not much difference from the Exorcist and the Conjuring.
It was a weak story that did not really had character development.
too much predictable scenes and not enough good scares and wayyy too much dialouge
Was a good movie. Not as scary at I thought but was so good regardless
It’s a good story with a great lead but it’s just simply not that scary, ending was not my favorite and has some cliche cheesy lines but overall an okay movie. Definitely not worth the one star reviews I’ve seen and atleast worth watching it once
After seeing the trailer several times, I thought this movie would be scarier. There were a couple scenes that dragged on a little too long, but overall a good movie.
Great movie with some great jump scares.
Movie was mid
It was fine. The actor who played Sister Anne was very good and did a fine job. I really liked her and hope to see her in a leading role again soon. The movie itself was fine. Not great but not horrible. I have the AMC A-List and don’t feel gypped about it. It wasn’t a waste of time but save it for streaming.
Metacritic
There is plenty wrong with Prey for the Devil, but despite cringy moments of profound seriousness around a rather silly conceit, I was on board. It’s been decades since an exorcism film left me feeling unsettled. Prey for the Devil’s tactics might be cheap, but they worked on me.
The most frustrating thing about Prey For The Devil is that there seems to be a good movie somewhere in this patchwork of themes and pastiches.
The effects are decent, the acting desultory in “Prey for the Devil,” a School for Exorcists thriller that promises more than it delivers.
