Atom User Reviews for Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us
Cute movie, slow in some parts but otherwise good story.
Loved it! Made me tear up a couple times, and a great heartwarming story. Pokémon delivers again to nostalgic fans and new viewers!
As always they made another pokemon movie master piece. this is my second year in a row going to see a pokemon movie at theaters. I will go again to see another.
Loved it! Some parts were so moving~ And I loved all the different characters and their problems. Ash is so optimistic and inspiring. ; w;
Was cute and worth seeing, slight dissapoint over not getting a pokemon card at the theaters like old times. But overall had a good story.
Loved every minute of the movie!
Thought it would be in Japanese audio with English subtitle, but the entire movie was in English. Not a fan of English voice over.
pretty predictable but still enjoyable
My son loved the action packed battles in this movie. He also enjoyed seeing all the different Pokémon. This is definitely a must see for any Pokémon fan. Son and dad had a great time watching this movie!
Great fun movie for Pokemon fans. Best pokemon of them all. Inspirational tale of heroism and friendship.
It was very good movie
Great movie! I would have given 5 stars, if we hadn't watch the "first" new Pokemon movie (I chose you) some weeks ago - and in comparison, this latest one is slower, less captivating etc. But nevertheless a great movie, worth watching it!
Loved it. Great story.
It was really incredible! Brought back a lot of nostalgia, by showing tons of older generation Pokémon! Lugia and Zeraora were so neat! Loved every minute of The Power Of Us!
Just okay. We enjoyed I Choose You! much more than this one. There were a couple cute moments but overall it was just too predicatable. We like the grumpy grandma character! The uncle was super creepy.
one of the the better movies
The true power of Humans & Pokemon.... AKA Power of Us
Was amazing in your feelings way to much. My friend cried lol
Inappropriate clothing on young girls and why does there ALWAYS HAVE to be a stupid girl being a loser in these things? Isn't this suppose to be for kids? Hopefully your children aren't easily influenced... Otherwise the pokemon were really good and my daughter loved them
Perfect for any Pokémon fan young or older
Anyone can be a hero in their own way& this movie proves just that!
Great movie with some interesting characters and Pokemon to go with it.
My kids loved every second. It was not predictable, but told the story with twists and turns.
It’s Fantastic
Very positive message about working together to achieve goals!
Great Pokemon reboot! #21stcenturyfeels
Super wholesome and lovely, wonderful animation, loveable characters
Funny, heart filled, enjoyable for all.
This movie really emphasizes what Pokémon represents!
The voice acting was mostly okay. The story moved along well, but there were some things that should have been tended to in the end. The use of CGI was abundant though and is something that should only be used when 2D can’t do the job well enough, so some elements of the movie felt lazy. Although, the animated was well executed and enjoyable to see on the big screen. It’s definitely something you’ll want to see if you’re a Pokémon fan. While they could have made it a little longer in the end and closed more holes, you’ll leave the theater satisfied. The beautiful animated and story is worth a see.
A fantastic movie for pokemon fans! there is a few loopholes in the plot, but it did make me tear up and brought a smile to my face :") the music is also really good too!
this movie made me remember my childhood memories of when i watch pokemon when i was 4 years old this movie will change the new and old generation
Absolutely enjoyable if you’re a Pokémon fan. I have been for 20+ years now, and forever will be!
We enjoyed the movie! Lots of twists. I love a good backstory!
Absolutely one of the best pokemon movies in recent years. The plot is pretty typical pokemon movie but the characters in this one were all fleshed out quite a bit - each had their own history, personality, strengths and weaknesses, and motivations beyond what we usually get from one-off characters and there's quite a few of them instead of just a couple people showing Ash around town or whatever. Quite a bit of feels in this one too - happy feels, sad feels, wtf are they thinking feels, had me and my sister crying almost constantly.
It was a daring Pokemon movie that kept me interested and was genuinely inspiring at times. The art direction was beautiful, the characters were loveable, and the Pokemon made the world feel truly magical. I also love that the movie was set in the Johto region. What a refreshing film!
If you’re a longtime Pokémon fan, this movie touches you in all the right places. It brings to the table the same purity and character relationships that you’ve come to expect since your childhood. Give it a watch, you might be surprised!
Basically the best pokemon film to ever exist thus far. No contest. It's a bit slow in some places and definetly cheesy but no other pokemon movie has been better than the sum of it's parts in the same way. If the kid in you (or if you're just a kid whom) has a heart for Pokemon and the good vibes it sets out to give people then you'll enjoy it!
Not enough action
Emotional and a joy to watch.
A great, moving, and an amazing movie.
Really neat to be able to see this on the big screen. Made a 9 year old very happy. The interviews in the beginning were a nice touch.
I loved it!! I was especially happy they left Shinji Miyazaki’s original music in there instead of replacing it like they did with Pokémon: I Choose You. And they kept the nod to the original Japanese dub of Pokemon 2000’s Lugia theme as the American dub of Lugia’s Legend theme was composed by Ralph Schuckett
Best movie ever
It was fun, if really filled with cringey moments early on.
I love Pokemon and this movie was not worth the cost of the ticket. Better to wait and rent it.
It was a good movie for all Pokémon fans of all ages.
its a great movie i would see it again if it wasn't a limted time movie buy all in all amazing movie if ur a Pokemon fan this is the movie for you. can't wait for the live action in 2019
Fun
Very down-to-earth film that makes it easy to enjoy the movie and its world without knowing much about Pokémon. And this is coming from a huge Pokémon fan. The writers put a ton on their plate and do virtually everything right with it. Lots of intelligent and subtle nods to the world of Pokémon in general for the fans while a simple/grounded but compelling plot interweaves 5+ characters together, each with an endearing and fleshed-out story. This is a must-see for any Pokémon fan.
