It’s like a double-page spread of Where's Waldo? but everyone is Waldo.
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️I got really sad when this was over. Not in a way where I'm just saying that to say it, I was genuinely kind of upset. For it's 2 hour runtime I felt so comfortable in the world Tati created. Everything is so well-orchestrated and the commitment to the style is unforgiving.…
KarstenAug 9, 2024in 70mm, peak movie-going. makes me see the world around me differently every single time. used the urinal and it felt like i was in the movie. also makes me hyper aware of every time i’m stumbling around, which is often. scratches every single itch, lucky to have this one…

The charming chaos of people vs. the immaculately staged machinery we build in an attempt to contain it. The full breadth of human emotion aimlessly wandering an absurdly constructed, modern labyrinth of glass and steel. The beauty of this film lies in the expertly crafted…

I don’t know, man. I don’t think I understood what was going on for most of the movie. It’s shot with such a wide eye that I got stressed out and felt like there was too much i was supposed to be focusing on in any given shot. Excited to see the other Monsieur Hulot movies…

Didn’t finish, but don’t need to to know this isnt for me. Not sure who it’s for, was painfully boring. Not funny, not as clever as it thought it was. “Oh this is a weird thing that people do, aren’t you gonna laugh?” “Some cushions are squishy, isnt that silly?!” Lame.Overated
I'm sorry I missed the point of this, and if there ever was one, it surely could've been executed way better. And it def didn't need to be 2 hours, and no I don't hate slow movies. Liked the set design, main character's happiness, and the hidden laughs. Idk maybe needs a rewatch.
The film is certainly unique when it comes to its comedic humor. Where most of its gags are hidden in plain sight, and its up to the viewer to spot them. Like during the restaurant scene, so much stuff is happening to the point where some viewers may spot a gag others can’t see.
