much higher production value than you’d expect from one of these public domain horror movies and i cannot stress enough how much i appreciate the practical effects and puppetry but the finish product is kinda disjointed i found some things funny but the humor is very hit or miss

Jagged Edge Studio deserves more credit if they didn’t rely on Disney ip there horror stories would be more respected but without the Disney ip no one would have paid that much attention to these indie British horror stories Pinocchio looked good + the body horror was fire 8.3/10

For an indie movie, the special effects were impressive, and I loved the behind the scenes footage during the credits. The cameos to set up the TCU are cool too (the doctor was Christopher Robin)! Unfortunately, the story fell short - why did Geppetto suddenly turn on the kids?

Pinocchio Unstrung has some good moments but the story in itself is very bare bones. It’s a story we’ve seen before and doesn’t add anything too special but it’s still an interesting film and did enough to keep my attention. I just wish the story was a little more interesting.

Worst 2026 movie. A painfully boring plot that tarnishes Pinocchio with sleazy humor, a weird genital obsession and ketchup blood. Fake mannequins ruin all the scenes: a knee-high puppet overpowering strong adults is ridiculous, and the ending makes zero sense. Pure garbage.

more a comedy than anything and a bad one at that. only got a meh instead of dislike bc i was laughing the whole movie ( more because of the absurdity of it all but still) just don't even bother sitting down to watch this.

Never in my life would I have thought I’d see Pinocchio safe bump someone.  Robert englund and Richard brake are far too good to be in a movie like this. Also Richard give me doomhead vibes at the end. 2/10 ⭐
