Atom User Reviews for Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway
Though I did laugh here an there, I was really looking forward to laughing a lot more. My 11-year-old really liked it.
They need to cut out the 20 minutes of previews before children's movies. The 4 year old can't sit that long.
The grandkids loved it
The Peter Rabbit 2 The runaway was phenomenal. I can't wait to rewatch it. It's family oriented and the lessons are relatable to real life. The rabbits mischief is funny, there a mixed family into play. If you haven't seen it. It's a must see.
The kids love it.
Just an awesome movie . A great family movie
By indulging in the exact same instincts it insists are problematic artistically, Peter Rabbit 2 wants to have its carrot and eat it, too. But maybe that won’t bother you. Maybe you’ll be grateful for a return to the theater and the opportunity to do so with your kids. In that regard, the sequel hops along in sufficiently bouncy fashion.
Bringing a children’s favourite to life with vividly realistic visuals and appealing production design simply proves superficial when it lacks the heart and charm that has endeared its source material to readers for more than a century.
There are certainly far more despicable franchises in the world of children’s entertainment than the “Peter Rabbit” series, but there are few this negligible, particularly considering the talent involved. Just because you don’t have to aim higher doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try.
