Not nearly as good as the first two, but still fun with an uplifting ending. People in the theater were clapping. Was a nice experience. I’d love a Paddington 4!

Paddington in Peru is still incredibly touching in its story of acceptance from both found family and birth family. It’s still silly and amusing with a childlike innocence and purity of heart that appeals to both kids and adults. It still pays homage to film history in a way that will delight cinephiles. But having seen the heights of “Paddington 2,” this third installment could only pale in comparison.
Paddington in Peru is pleasurable mainly for its just-hanging-out-with-friends vibe, which it wears with quiet grace.
Paddington in Peru lacks the anarchic humour and originality that made its predecessors outstanding, but it’s all terribly merry nonetheless.
