I am a huge fan of the original movie and was torn to watch it because I didn't want this movie to take away from the original. Eugenio is a great actor and I just love Anna! It did the original justice. Would definitely recommend!

I absolutely loved this movie. I was all over the place with my emotions. Such a masterpiece, I was not expecting such greatness. I've never even written a movie review my entire 23 years of living. This one was worth it.
This movie was a major game changer for life, but also funny and silly. If you haven't seen it. Go see it, you won't be disappointed.

It’s mildly entertaining while also masking criminal deceptions as romantic foreplay. Yet this remake has little of the real-life sizzle that Hawn and Russell added to the story.
The snotty rich bastard? That role goes to Eugenio Derbez, Mexico's biggest star, who's allowed to speak a big chunk of his dialogue in Spanish, complete with subtitles. It's the one original idea that this retrofitted Overboard has to offer. The rest of the movie wears out its welcome muy rapido.
It all adds up to a bicultural comedy that is good-natured if not especially or consistently well-written. The movie takes too long to get moving, stays a tad too long, and efforts to retrofit the movie as a vehicle for Derbez come at the expense of Faris, a talented comedian who has very little to do here.
