Atom User Reviews for Operation Fortune: Ruse De Guerre
I really, really enjoyed this movie. I hope they make more with this same cast. Very enjoyable movie.
Another great job by Guy Ritchie. He’s back at it again with his gentleman banter and glorious violence. This time with Jason Stathem’s action-packed swagger, Aubrey Plaza’s seductive humor, and Hugh Grant’s charm. This movie came out of nowhere, but it delivered a delightsome surprise in this slower season for movies. You’ll be glad you didn’t miss out on it.
It was really fun and well cast
It was fun to watch and entertaining.
predictable, boring, no character development. I was expecting better movie from Guy Ritchie.
Another great Richie/Statham action vehicle gone mad!
Typical Guy Ritchie fare, but if you love it you love it

The silly premise is one that a better Ritchie film could, with some charm, style and wit, have turned into a workable romp. But everything here is stuck on autopilot.
Ritchie, working from a script he cowrote with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies, has taken all of this and transformed it into a movie that’s so clever and airy yet grounded, so sparkling with devil-may-care bravado, so poised right where you want it to be — a step ahead of the audience but also leading us right along — that it gives off the charge of a great screwball comedy.
Plaza steals the show with her killer instincts and comedic timing. If she can keep an operation this overstuffed afloat, there’s nothing she cannot do.
