Atom User Reviews for Opening Night Fan Event Captain Marvel
Never miss a fan event so my nephew can continue to grow his collection of coins, toys, comics, posters, and badges :-)
I don't know why I've heard about negative reviews. This movie was awesome. It ties in perfectly with the events happening in the MCU. Don't listen to the negative news, go and see it.
First off, the movie is awesome! I just saw it again in Dolby Cinema and THAT was how you should see this. The one star is for this Fan Event showing. The theater put it in one of their sub-standard theaters and charged for an IMAX experience. The "fan event" consisted of an admittedly cool Capt Marvel coin, a thank you message from the stars before the movie and a very sub-standard screening of the movie that did not do it justice. Muddy, blurry and dim picture and basic stereo sound. Will NOT do another fan event again. If you like the coins they give out, you can find them on eBay.
Pretty good.
Solid, but uneventful. Origin story, so it's to be expected, even with the changes. Cat steals the show.
It's Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars and Aliens mixed in one movie.
blockbuster and radioshack ever best days : ) 💯📼
Definitely a great Marvel movie, every time i wondered what was going wrong they’d pivot for a whoa moment. Origin stories are super hard to pitch but they did it well. Post credit scenes are awesome and 6-19 yr old girls will appreciate the ‘Nike serena style girl power moment’
She's too powerful. I want X-men Rogue to take some of her power away and put her into coma.
Action packed and has some great humor thrown in too!
she rules
Loved the humor and action. The tribute to Stan Lee was an excellent touch.
Entertaining and great closure
I love it... Marvel changed it up and I love everything they did I would love to go see it again. Regal theater was the best fan event ive been to in awhile. The employees was amazing and have Atom helps alot cutting the concessions waits down
a action movie, with a superhero, all about women. LUV IT
Watch out for the Flurge!
Nice movie, we bought what we want.... but for the “lost “money” like me we want a bucket of popcorn or something about captain marvel... also the captain coin it’s good, like it
Good movie but opening fan night event was whack.
good movie not great but i enjoyed it
Loved it so much
I loved experiencing the Captain Marvel fan event!
Captain Marvel definitely has all the ingredients for a Marvel movie. Great introductory film for the title character and awesome prelude leading up to End Game! 👌
Great movie! Briefly Larson was great and Samuel Jackson was so funny! I'd go see it again!
Loved the movie. Great story, great action, great supporting cast (sure hope we see more of Goose). Can't wait for Avengers Endgame.
Sooo good. Marvel has done it again!
Fantastic all around. It was outstanding to see the younger versions of some characters. The soundtrack was perfect throughout.
Wonderful tribute to Mr. Stan Lee may he rest in heaven!
I liked the presentation of the STORY and the VERY 90's way in which it was done. However, to me it felt like it was missing some of the "heart" that other Marvel movies were able to incorporate into their films.
Amazing tribute and great movie!
This movie exceeded my expectations and blew me away! I plan on seeing it again!
Every scene was very fluid. Fun and funny. The chemistry between Fury and Brie was amazing.
Capitan Marvel arrives in style 🔥
Fan event was pointless. Nothing was different
Metacritic
The best reason to see the movie is Larson, who showed how terrific she could be in Short Term 12 and Room as women whose ways of fighting back were frustratingly earthbound.
This shiny and progressive and golly-gee packaging misrepresents how Captain Marvel made its way into the world, and what it is actually about. Namely: money, the easy exploitation of intellectual-property, artistic conformity and queasy politics that undermine whatever liberal notions it’s peddling.
So why does Captain Marvel feel like a bit of a disappointment? It’s fine and often quite funny. It fits securely within the MCU but also functions sufficiently as a stand-alone entity. But the character, and the tremendous actress playing her in Oscar-winner Brie Larson, deserved more than fine.
