Moviegoers are saying
Audiences are split on this one-night-of-chaos rom-com. Its fans love the 'Romantic Comedy version of THE PURGE' hook, the crackling chemistry between the leads, and Monica Barbaro, who one reviewer says 'remains ridiculously charming.' Detractors find the fascist-dystopia backdrop 'quite sad and sinister' and wish it had committed to either the satire or the sex comedy.

I bring a LIVE LAUGH LOVE vibe to the fascist dystopia that everyone finds very fun
JakeAug 6, 2026This is mostly enjoyable when it’s just about two people trying to get laid and having a crazy night, but quite sad and sinister when it’s very meagerly addressing or even submitting to, ya know, all the fascism. Weird movie!

JustinAug 10, 2026In the first five minutes of the movie it used the same piece of NYC stock footage I used in a recent video and I did the Leo point in the theater Anyway weird movie but I didn’t have a bad time. Monica Barbaro remains ridiculously charming and deserves to be in a truly…

One of the funnier Rom coms I’ve watched in awhile. Like how they kept getting separated but continued to find each other again and they addressed how weird that is in New York. Only gripe is the daydreaming either should have happened less or more.

Honestly…. Wtf. Script was incredibly poor. I didn’t know it was possible to mess up a romantic comedy THIS bad. I stand corrected🤡

Clay Werner is "meh" onOne Night Only6.4 - I’m not a big fan of most rom-coms (usually much more into rom-drams), usually finding them incredibly cliche & too frequently lacking decent romance. But I like them most when I have a certain expectation of, or hope for, absurdity & off-the-wall ideas, & this absolutely checked those…

I loved the city scenery it was a funny rom com with adult urges.
WVWilfredo VerasIt's basically a Romantic Comedy version of THE PURGE franchise. Quite clever I must say and I laughed plenty. I actually wish the movie was a bit longer to see what else could have transpired throughout the night in the lives of the two main protagonists before they…
ABanthony brownIt was hilarious in the way. It was like the purge bus sucks. Was one day out of the year, which was crazy. I love how the chemistry between the two lead actors were and I definitely will see this again if I had a date.
