NYFF 2020: film #13 "it must be very nice to be you" i got really annoying mild indigestion after watching this, and honestly i kind of blame sofia coppola. i don't want to say this is her worst film, but to say otherwise would be lying, so this is her worst film.…
LucySep 24, 2020As a fan of Sofia Coppola, Bill Murray, Jenny Slate, and dark blue color palettes, I could not be more disappointed. Is it a rom-com? Is it a satirical take on a rom-com? What is this? Usually Coppola's work feels a little off but it's got this unique thing going for it…
KarstenNov 14, 2020As soon as Marlon Wayans starts talking about his company's social media engagement and follower growth I immediately do not trust him

sofia coppola discovers black people (sort of)
clementineOct 3, 2020miss sofia coppola said this one goes out to all the overthinkers out there and i honestly feel so attacked right now

This movie illustrates pretty well what happens when you’re white and get pulled over by the cops.
CinemaVoid 🏴☠️Sep 22, 2020Don’t be fooled by the dusky seduction of its wedding night prologue: “On the Rocks” is far and away the least cool thing that Sofia Coppola has ever made. That’s not a criticism so much as a contextualization. If the perfume ad prelude cocoons you inside the same gauzy…
davidehrlichOct 2, 2020Dear Sofia: You can just show up here and expect me to SOMEWHERE 2020, the New York to that film's LA, a not-all-the-time father and an always daughter, gender roles and how we learn(ed) our expectations for those roles, fidelity (not just marital), all wrapped up in the…

Mmm kinda mid. I expected so much more and I was even more shocked when the end credits said Sofia Coppola. It felt so unnatural at times idk if it was the script or the way it actors way of saying stuff but idk just mid

7/10. Good overall “lesson” about dealing with trauma. Bill murray was fun to watch. Good cast. Movie just felt kinda slow and anticlimactic but I feel like that was kinda the point. Lot of thought out behind the movie which I can always respect
Pretty funny and entertaining “dramady” which thrives because of the performance of Bill Murray. Wayans and Jones are perfectly fine, but it feels like without the Bill Murray quirk, the overall plot would be too boring.

Great cast. Bill Murray and Rashida Jones are a cute comedy duo. However, I found the ending to be anticlimactic as I expected more of a twist given the film's build up.
Only “meh” because Bull Murray was great in the film! Writing was meh and script was lazy. It’s a boring film except for BILL!!!
