We need more of these!!!
Wonderful version of a great important play. The acting, singing, dancing, set, orchestra and costumes were all first rate. Seeing on big screen was like seeing the actual play. Loved it.
Too Long. 4 hours! Too much unnecessary preamble. 45 minutes of AMC advertising, then quizzes, then the plays history, and the full Overture before the movie even started. The movie repeated the overture. The play was, as usual, fantastic. The songs and choreography were great, well performed. Actors were flawless. Unfortunately the British version added extra songs and dance routines that were dark and didn’t add anything positive to the experience. The non- consensual sex scene between Judd and Laurie during the dream dance added nothing to the play or the overall experience especially if you’re trying to introduce children to musical theater. I won’t see this version again.
Great show! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
A fun afternoon and the theater was comfortable.
Sheila and I completely enjoyed this performance from London in 1998. The cast was outstanding and the music was beautiful. Our last experience with OK was a year or so ago with the reimagined, updated version that turned a great show into a disaster without comparison. We are delighted that R&H supported this celebration to give us a chance to remember this great musical the way it was meant to be. OK.
My husband and I loved this! I have not seen Oklahoma since 1998 and it was so much fun to watch again and enjoy Hugh Jackman singing. I loved it and would love see more oldies, but goodies, comeback to the theaters.
We went to see this. We laughed because we were probably the youngest ones in the audience and we are in our early 60's. The cast was wonderful. Hugh Jackman is incredible. Aunt Eller was the best.
Fine afternoon of entertainment
Dark
My 88 year old mother and I went. She loved it and even said that Hugh Jackman was very easy on the eyes. 😆 she and I loved it!
Great cast. Great choreography. Hugh Jackman is wonderful. Shuler Hensley was terrific as Jud. Love it
I LOVE Oklahoma! It was wonderful and the cast was phenomenal! Hugh Jackman was a fantastic Curly and Shuler Hensley was SO GOOD as Jud! We need more of these musicals to come to theaters!!!
This is the version of Oklahoma Rogers and Hammerstein envisioned. Hugh Jackman was amazing! Loved the music and choreography of this production. The filming of the stage performance was wonderful and the movie theatre audience joined in singing “Oklahoma” with the cast at the end😊. What a redemption to see this version of Oklahoma after seeing the the trashy version of the play by Daniel Fish last summer.
This was the best live production of Oklahoma that I have seen. I am from Oklahoma we don't really talk like that but it made it amusing. Laura's character did all of the singing and dancing. Amazing! Truly went to see Hugh Jackman in the role of Curly. He didn't disappoint. Loved it!
Loved the movie growing up, but this is so much better in so many surprising ways!
will never watch the hollywood version again
Wonderful way to spend an evening . Amazing show!
