On surface level, Notorious doesn't feel too much like a standard Hitchcock film; the music score is understated, the suspense is so subtle that it only rises once in a while, and characters take almost too much precedence over story. But Notorious certainly looks…

the mood for today is a hungover ingrid bergman telling cary grant he’s boring and then rolling over in bed to go back to sleep.

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Grant and Bergman did such phenomenal jobs portraying their characters that you can’t help but be completely enthralled. That’s not even to mention the spectacular b&w cinematography. Hitchcock really knew what he was doing. 9/10

Not my favorite from Hitchcock. It didn't have as much suspense as his other films, but still, I'm excited to check out more of his work. I can already see Ingrid Bergman becoming one of my favorite actresses, especially after this, Casablanca & Autumn Sonata.
“I’m making fun of myself, I’m pretending I’m a nice, un-spoiled child who’s heart is full of daisies and buttercups” “Nice daydream, and then what?”
