nothing is scarier than being chased by javier bardem and his mushroom hair. NOTHING
raiAug 12, 2013No Country for Old Men is an allegorical modern western that captures a country in transition, thus commenting on present day society and providing an almost nostalgic analysis of the nature of good and evil and the inescapable stranglehold of fate. Sticking to most…

Amazing acting and great compelling plot but the ending was so bad. Before the ending, I was thinking 9.5/10 but the ending just left me with metaphorical blue b***s so far that reason alone, I give it a 7.9/10
I’m going to be honest, I hadn’t read anything about this film going in, so my expectations were in the wrong area. Maybe it’s because I don’t fully understand the point of this film, but I didn’t find it to be very entertaining or that good. I usually like thoughtful movies 🤷♂️

- The first hour and a half was great and then this guy Moss just dies to a bunch of nobodies. Bro did all that work just to get capped like that wtf - The main cop just decides to retire meanwhile Anton is just chilling. - This guy Anton is two-face - killing his wife is crazy
The first half started off really strong, good plot, good actions, good characters. And then in the second half everything just went off the rails and it became a mashup of different random unrelated scenes. It felt like they wrote half a movie and didn’t know how to end it.

Definitely one of my favorites of all time. Javier Bardem had an Oscar worthy performance. I’m not surprised that his character is voted as most accurate to a psychopath. My favorite character: Anton Chigurh My favorite quote: “What’s the most you ever lost in a coin toss.”
The creative decision to include a soundtrack for this film and instead use the natural sounds of the surrounding landscape to further create the feeling of desolate isolation was nothing short of genius. One of the Coen brothers’ absolute best work, if not their best.

It’s a near masterpiece.
Joel and Ethan Coen's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's 2005 novel is an indisputably great movie, at this point the year's very best.
It's the most ambitious and impressive Coen film in at least a decade, featuring the flat, sun-blasted landscapes of west Texas -- spectacularly shot by cinematographer Roger Deakins -- and an eerily memorable performance by Javier Bardem, in a Ringo Starr haircut.
