Another great film by Kawajiri that leaves it very clear why he has gotten such a great reputation not only in animation but cinema in general, with this film apparently being up there with Akira and Ghost in the Shell as the movies that put anime on the map for many people…

Found at the local Salvation Army. Loved every bloody moment. *edit* I forgot to mention that when I pulled the tape out of the box a bunch of weed came flying out. Someone was using the tape as a stash box 😂😂

Accidentally watched too many Yoshiaki Kawajiri films in a row and got too hip to his tricks to capital L love this. As beautiful as the movie is, if you stripped it down for copper wire you'd find a movie pretty similar to Wicked City with the crucial difference of being…

Watching things did NOT use to be an endorsement. Back in the day, we didn't watch Ninja Scroll going "I support attacking Villages with BEES". It was understood those were just movies. Now, you have to internalize that, & be "The Demon Bee Guy Apologist" & that's your life…

One of the fire proofs for confirming if you should go deeper into the anime universe or not. A sensational, demon-plagued and action-driven classic with all the required elements to constitute a cult piece for modern viewers. 96/100

100-word review: Supernatural ninjas murder a whole village to conceal a plot to overthrow the government. Another ninja team, sent to investigate, are annihilated too, except Kagero, a woman infused with toxins that kill whoever makes love to her. Rescued by ninja Jubei,…

This anime rips! if you're at all a fan of action / ninja / fantasy / hyper sexual retro animes this will be right up you're alley. You can definitely see where shows like Naruto (original & Shippuden), Jujutsu Kaisen, one piece, and more get their inspiration after watching this. It's cool seeing…

While the animation isn’t quite as stunning as some other anime, the story was way better. It has some really good action, interesting villains, and some pretty bloody kills. Definitely a good watch for a anime novice like myself.

Nice visuals and good animation but the story felt like I had started 6 seasons deep into something I noticed there was a show but idk if they’re connected

Enjoyed the creative powers of the evil clan. Struck a good balance of power between good and bad with character specialties.
