Moviegoers are saying
This Green Day-produced coming-of-age road trip comedy has struck a chord with audiences who praise its authentic punk spirit and surprisingly strong character development, though some find the pacing uneven. While the film clearly resonates most with Green Day fans who appreciate the deep-cut soundtrack and Easter eggs, even non-fans are getting swept up in the chemistry between Mason Thames and McKenna Grace's characters.

A fun coming of age band flick. Doesn’t reach the heights of the ‘almost famous’s but it was still a fun watch with great comedic lines and heartfelt journey. There was chemistry in the romance aspect, but it felt rushed and tossed aside, but I understand the choice. 6.7/10 taxi

happened to be at the mall & had already seen spiderman and odyssey. Poster had Green Day, Kenna and mason so I said yes. I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED BY THIS MOVIE AT ALL. Pleasantly surprised. Very nostalgic and punk rock :3 The characters were great, loved the journey and ending.

everytime this movie gets good i’m then reminded it’s a green day movie in a very NOT so subtle and cringey way 😭 it’s like this was filmed in a universe where green day is the ONLY band. Fred saved this movie i fear. his character is funny asf

Pleasantly surprised. The story was actually really good. They pulled some crazy actors for this. Pam and Angelia from office.

Why was this made?? Green Day’s egos are vastly larger than their ability to create a film worth watching. This is a vanity project by has been anti-American losers. Save your money. Save your time. Skip this crap.

Happily surprised that it was a Green Day movie. It was very funny and felt nostalgic and old school though it is based 2026. Warm. Great cast chemistry.

Funny scenes .. but the convenience fee applied to the live nation studio movie plus the ticket cost was not necessary.

As it stands, it’s a solid enough movie with its heart in the right place and moments of well-executed joy, but viewers may be left with a nagging sense of opportunities missed.

Nimrods is most comfortable when it can pretend that smartphones don't exist. That makes it something of a fantasy, and as a result, it lacks the lived-in quality that Kirk perhaps hoped for. But it's still fun, engaging, and well-performed by its young cast, who make the most of the opportunity to play relationships that feel real very quickly.
