this movie features possibly the greatest line delivery ever: “i got good news and bad news, girls. the good news is your dates are here… the bad news is they’re dead”
ReeceJun 30, 2019A perfect midnight movie mixture of sci-fi, horror, and comedy—the kind of pulpy B-movie homage hybrid swill with enough heart that never breaks its integrity or descends into spoofy mediocrity—basically the perfect alien slasher zombie slug nightmare. Like Return of the…
Ian WestSep 3, 2022A precursor to “Slither” this cult classic is good cheesy fun. Great quotable lines, a fine performance from Tom “Thrill me!” Atkins and from the man who brought us “Monster Squad”. What’s not to like? I always put this on around this time of year and it makes me Scream…

Maybe one of my favorite annual Halloween viewing movies. The level of craft, especially the editing, is almost too good for a “goofy” 80’s horror/sci-Fi/comedy hybrid, but that’s Fred Dekker for ya! “Thrill me!”
Joe LynchNov 20, 2023"This gives me the Creeps!" BETAS ARE BETTER! Alien slug invasion B-movie - after an over sized Prune headed alien launches a container of slug type specimens out of a space craft, (for reasons unknown?) they land on earth and go on the search for somewhere warm to…
VIVE_le_FILTHMay 22, 2012I'm sure that if I grate off all the eighties cheese this film is covered in I could criticise the hell out of it. I just don't want to. I love slimy alien slugs that turn people into killer zombies which were dropped on earth by alien fetuses carrying laser guns. …

Tom Atkins says “It’s Miller Time” before shooting a zombie in the face, this movie is awesome.
Bryan EspitiaOct 8, 2016i have a weird crush on Tom Atkins and this movie is kind of why. (i can't quite explain this. he's just like REALLY charismatic?) i also like gay subtexts & girls with flamethrowers & axe killer zombies & alien slug invasions. Fred Dekker makes the best horror…
clareOct 27, 2025Pure fun. Can't believe I'd never seen this top tier Tom Atkins performance where he plays an alcoholic, suicidal police detective.

There are certain movies that encapsulate the 80s, and this is easily one of them. The cheesiness and iconic one-liners, and even the gore, are pretty good here. Tom Atkins being Tom Atkins plus Cynthia getting hotter by setting zombies on fire.
A campy cult classic that works best if you embrace the absurdity. The alien slugs, ‘80s vibes, and cheeky humor make it unique. It’s self-aware, never pretending to be more than schlocky fun. The kind of movie you enjoy late at night.

I have seen this at least a dozen times and I still totally enjoy it. I have shown it to others and get a mixed reaction. What I am saying is don’t take my word for it I guess.
A nice little zombie/ alien movie. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. It reminded me of killer clowns from outer space. I enjoyed it but it felt a little flat to me. 5/10

Wildly underrated zombie horror from the 80s that also blends creature feature aesthetic and comedy for a fun film with friends on a Friday night.👍🏻
AGC Andy gets help from his wacky best friend to rizz up generic love interest and gets help from the guy from Halloween III to stop the Bradster.

Night Of The Creeps has all the ingredients of a top-notch cult movie, yet Dekker too often ends up recycling clichés rather than subverting or spoofing them.
