If I was that dog I would have left way before they considered eating me.
KyloSep 12, 2024This has a number of things going for it. I love this kind of high concept, horror thriller aspect involving the rope. Hold onto the rope and you’re safe, let go and you’re in danger. Then the film proceeds to create a bunch of scenarios where characters are forced to let…

It was a lot scarier than we expected. Thought it looks kind of like bird box. Almost cried when she was gonna kill the dog. We are still trying to understand what the end meant.

Never seen a film like it in the sense that I thought the first 70% of the film was mundane and predictable. The next 20% was exciting and subverted my expectations and then the last 10% was a chaotic mess of discombobulation. The forced sequel potential ending let the film down.

So many issues with this film that would make my review too long than it allows me to write. Just disappointed overall especially with that (in my opinion) awful ending and just poor writing and execution overall. Really wanted to like it because it’s a promising idea for a film.

I'm still wondering if the mom was schizophrenic or if she's actually right.
Worst movie I’ve seen in a long time left with more questions than answers. All in all had a really lousy time. I love Halle Berry, though.

It may freak you out a little bit, and that may be enough for some people, but it only briefly grabs hold of something significant. Then it lets go.
The horror film has an engrossing premise that remains engaging even in its lulls.
If you meet the film halfway, Never Let Go becomes enjoyably compelling and eerie. Yes, there are a good amount of scares to be had here, as Aja has only perfected his sense of jumpscare timing as well as his knack for finding collaborators who can conjure up some truly unsettling demonic zombie creatures.
