Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live present a special encore of Frankenstein, in a two-night cinema event on Monday, October 22 and Monday, October 29 at 7:00 p.m. local time both dates. Directed by Academy Award®-winner Danny Boyle, this thrilling production features both Jonny Lee Miller and Benedict Cumberbatch as Victor Frankenstein and his Creature. October 22 will feature Cumberbatch as the Creature and October 29 will feature Miller as the Creature. The original production was a sell-out hit at the National Theatre in 2011 and has since become an international sensation. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered Creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Urgent concerns of scientific responsibility, parental neglect, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic gothic tale.

The acting was surperb. I just kept thinking how physically exhausted the actors must be after every performance. They put their all into their performances.

Not your grandpa's Monster of Frankenstein. A day later and a scene that is STILL digging at me is Victor's father saying about his human son (loosely quoted) "what monster have I created". wow! Maybe I'm wrong but the writer really gave the monster a chance to be "human" and that twist - to see the monster really choose to be a monster (with Elizabeth) was pretty epic. My only regret is that I can't watch the play a second time with the lead actors switching roles. Two thumbs up!
