Atom User Reviews for Mufasa: The Lion King
I got some sugar from my wife for bringing the family to this movie.
I honestly think they need to get over this realistic cgi thing . GIVE ME ANIMATION and COLOR. Vibrant color schemes with cute characters !!
Absolutely an amazing movie with a great cast and a beautifully executed story. The soundtrack was cleverly crafted and it’s almost made to be a sing along. Definitely a must see for adults and the kids. 10/10 would recommend!!!
I loved everything about it. It was very heartwarming and really helped us to see Scar. He was so innocent. His father really ruined him.
I went in not expecting much. but was pleasant surprised. Great story. We really enjoyed it!
I always wanted a brotha… it was a good time, definitely better animation this time around. Not an amazing movie but still decent especially for younger audiences
Same old story
Lin Manuel Miranda did so well with the music in this movie
Kid friendly movie that had you on the edge of your seat at times. other times they started singing. Always nice to see the back story of Mufasa and Scar. Great movie to watch with family.
Watching the new Lion King movie in 3D was an unforgettable experience! It was incredible to see Mufasa's backstory, adding so much depth to a character I’ve always adored. The roars of the lions felt like they were right there in the theater with me—so powerful and real! The animation was breathtaking, making the African savannah come alive in such a magical way. It was like being transported into the story, and I felt a real connection to the characters and their journey. Whether you’re a fan of the original or new to the tale, this film is a must-see. It truly felt like I was part of their world!
Love It Better Than The 1st One
It was AMAZING!!! The kids were kids were kicking their feet because of how excited they were, Good decision for us to even take the grandparents!!

The cast, the songs, the animation everything was just pure perfection😁😁😁
Worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life
The movie was good. Cute even for adults.
Lots of hype about this film, was expecting the same grab and emotion as The Lion King. We were disappointed.
pretty solid
Definitely good … different, but good!
It was okay. I loved the messages but they should stop remaking lion king.
Absolutely amazing
My childhood favorite carton. But part 1 is still the best for me.
Great movie! Great storyline!
it is a family musical with the lion King twist.
Telling a story about Mufasa and Scar became brothers.
Great movie
It was a very beautiful movie ! A piece of art !
I am in awe. See this in 3D and on an IMAX.
The music is kinda lacking compared to the original but the story was amazing really enjoyed it would definitely watch again
Good back story
Just the perfect twist the story needed. and perfectly intertwined
Really a good movie. Humor was funny and it didn’t feel pushed. It fit into the storyline well
It was really good
A great see , must. Watch it in the biggest theatre you can
loved the backgrounds of every scene and the characters <3
This was such a great movie! Definitely a must see with friends, family, even by yourself! Love it😍
There was literally a song and dance sequence before an execution. That’s all I gotta say on how I feel about the e movie. go see sonic 3.
If the film is set in Africa why doesn't the cast have African accents
People in the theater weren’t aware and mindful of others.
Thank you
Loved it!
Perfect origin story. Wasn’t over done
Great movie ! Just would have preferred a better ending.

My boyfriend and I loved it! So cute.
I love the version of real animals.
Metacritic
It was an exciting prospect to see what someone like Jenkins would do while up against the Hollywood machine, but it unfortunately feels like the machine won this bout, if not by knockout, then definitely on points.
After having been made and remade for the screen and converted into a long-running hit Broadway show, it might have seemed like “The Lion King” was a played-out property. “Mufasa,” under Jenkins’ poised and creative direction, proves there is still plenty of life left in the long-reining “King.”
