Atom User Reviews for Motor City

Sure, the revenge story itself doesn't reinvent the wheel, but the no-dialogue approach and emphasis on sound and visuals make it even closer to the Buster Keaton movies that the John Wick franchise repeatedly pays homage to. It feels like another logical step in Ritchson's career as an action superstar, and one that will undeniably recruit even more of a dedicated following.

Like Ponciroli’s throwback western, “Old Henry” (2021), Motor City is more a film to respect than to see (or hear).

Potsy Ponciroli’s Motor City feels like a lost B-movie from a bygone era, channeling the spirit of the vigilante films and other exploitation genres of the 1970s.
