53/100 A cinematic gift. Johnny Cage and Scorpion fight in a forest of mirrors, reflecting their moves until the fiery machismo shifts the entire stage into a strange, Hellish treehouse arena. It's one of the countless sequences of glorified, enraged cheese, and the…

adamboltApr 1, 2021Love when the characters in Mortal Kombat compete in Mortal Kombat while other characters talk about how they’ve been chosen to compete in Mortal Kombat. In conclusion, Mortal Kombat.

It respects the game’s spirit. The tournament structure works, the fights feel purposeful, and characters like Liu Kang and Scorpion are instantly memorable. Its visual style and music influenced later game installments, shaping how Mortal Kombat presented story, tone & flair.
This is a bad movie which I admittedly have nostalgia for. It's a bad movie but I can admit it is kind of a fun time capsule of 90s cheese. By it being pg13 it basically kneecaps itself right from the jump considering it's Mortal Kombat. Theme song everyone can agree was fun.
First off, best intro song in the history of cinema! I used to watch the hell out of this movie when I was in high school! The fights haven’t aged that well, they are a little slower than what we’ve gotten used to in modern action films. A solid film for when it was made.

5/10 i liked this movie as a kid but god does it drag on watching it now that i’m grown. Pros: coolest set design of all time Soundtrack Cheesiness Occasional cool cinematography Cons: most of the fighters do not look believable. acting story cgi pacing
Theme music 😂😂😂 I can really see that the kicks and the whole picture are not real. The movie is really stupid and kinda funny because of that))) and the special effects is really weak😒 But it’s still a little bit interesting to watch because of the game.

This movie has a terrible story but it had an excuse. they only had 3 games to go off of, the third of which came out 4 months before this movie released. However, mortal kombat (2021) had 11 to go off of and it was Still terrible
Certainly not an Oscar winner and not even a great movie BUT it’s from my childhood and I always loved it. They came out with the remake last year, which even though the original is so outdated, it’s still better than new one.
