Using all their imagination, they came up with a desert full of big spiders. That’s not a fantasy world, that’s Australia.

I wasn’t interested in the Iraq war, and i'm definitely not interested in the Iraq war with Pokémon.

MAD MILLA FURY ROAD Hardly anything extraneous here including all of its silly excess and goofy sense of humor. Anderson's cutting has sped up but this is far more coherent than his last couple outings. Probably his best movie since RESIDENT EVIL 5, maybe even his second…

63 Monster Hunter won't convert any skeptics to the B-movie pleasures of Paul W.S. Anderson, but it'll surely satisfy anyone on his wavelength. Anderson's typically stellar sense of expansive geography and corridor warfare sets this apart from its often cheap CGI, as…

i miss going to the movie theater, i miss loud soundtracks and loud sound effects, i miss movies that just start running and never bother explaining where they're going or why, i miss movies about cool stuff like monsters and swords and fistfights that are only incidentally…

Last Resident Evil made clear that PWSA really loved Fury Road and he mostly repurposes the desert setting and relentless pace for his own personal uses. The mid section which has Jovovich and Jaa walking around desert with ocassional monsters is pretty much everything one…

PWSA turned a video game into Hell in the Pacific with Milla Jovovich and Tony Jaa.  Best superhero movie of 2020. Watching it a day after the bloated, ugly nonsense that is WW84 is a good lesson in the difference between termites and white elephants.

all that i need in the cinema is milla and monsters -- a real simple equation that always results in a peerless filmic experience. the mid-section of this is basically a budd boetticher western or john boorman's hell in the pacific -- PWSA pays respect to the greats while…

Had to leave early in the movie because the sound was so loud... usually we enjoy all the sound experience , but this time was not pleasant ... did not contribute to the movie itself.

A few flashes of amused chemistry between the two actors represent all the human interest in this unimaginative sci-fi actioner, but that doesn't mean the pic's relentless focus on giant-monster battles won't please the director's fans.

Very little of Monster Hunter makes sense, but it’s visually interesting at least and not un-fun to stream at home with a friend, asking questions and cracking jokes along the way.
