Synopsis

Morgan likedMimicactually was way more clever than i thought it was gonna be, it was pretty nasty but cool, i think some scenes went on for way too long but the bugs were some of the better cgi monsters i’ve seen

I have to be honest, I hate cockroaches and when someone told me was about that I didn’t want to see it even though It’s from Del Toro, now that I saw it, it’s good, I didn’t get disgusted, it’s a good story, as always the details are beautiful and it really aged well.
Arsal is "meh" onMimicIt leans into claustrophobic horror. The story blends science fiction with urban gothic flair, while the oppressive setting amplified paranoia. Although, the CGI is dated given when it came out.

In fact, the title of this motion picture is quite apt -- Mimic does an excellent job of imitating not only Aliens, but several other science fiction and horror features, including such odd choices as Leviathan and The Thing. The derivative result is, as one might expect, moderately entertaining, but far from groundbreaking in its approach or execution.
