    The only place where Eddie Deezen, Michael J. Fox, and Paul Reubens occupy the same physical space for a couple of minutes, thus ushering in "the 80's" as the prophecy foretold.

    Genuinely some of the most laughs and fun i’ve had in a theater. Very special. So funny and everyone NEEDS to put it on their radar. So lucky to get to see this in a movie theater!! Loved how much it showed off LA as well. Great companion film to the 2000s classic Sleepover.

    I watched this because my friend and I wanted to do an experiment on how much nostalgia plays in the movies that you loved when you were growing up. I myself am a firm believer of this theory, but I wanted to test it on a film I hadn’t seen before. This proves the theory!

Midnight Madness' comedic tone can accurately be described as a sort of cross between Eight Is Enough and early-period Troma, a blend best epitomized by a scene involving conflicting interpretations of the phrase, between a large pair of melons. And, in case you're wondering, yes, at one point fat snobs do get thrown in the pool. What is not to love?

A lot of its jokes miss, the pace is slow, there are too many characters to keep track of and there's an unpleasant streak of nasty humor directed at characters who are fat, ugly, old or otherwise out of step with Southern California physical ideals.
