"Oh, there's a big difference, Mrs. de Marco. The mob is run by murdering, thieving, lying, cheating psychopaths. We work for the President of the United States of America."
David SimsMay 30, 2020Matthew Modine has a goddamn Wallace and Gromit-style contraption in his bed to put his clothes on for him. A truly legendary dork.
Patrick WillemsMay 14, 2017Trust Demme to make a mob movie that's not about men.

More movies should have a 10-minute end credit sequence that recaps the movie using B-roll footage accompanied to a medley of songs the director likes.
IanBJan 3, 2020In any other mob movie Michelle Pfeiffer would be the caricature but Matthew Modine said absolutely not and jumped off his bed into his pants

Demme god.
Sean FennesseyJul 11, 2019Michelle Pfeiffer is terrific in this mob comedy that also happens to be about women’s constrained roles under patriarchy and the struggle to define oneself as an individual in the face of that environment. Matthew Modine is good too.

Had an expectation of what it was going to be and it was not that at all. Confusingly bad, there didn’t seem to be much of a plot. Weird performances all around and bad dialogue. Don’t think I could pinpoint a genre either

Director Jonathan Demme's farcical and broad 1988 comedy, written by Barry Strugatz and Mark R. Burns, doesn't really work, but there are plenty of enjoyable compensations.

Married to the Mob isn't for all tastes. But for cinematic thrills and spills, it's quite a ride.
