    went into this knowing absolutely nothing about rick hansen (as a brit) but learnt a lot. the 35mm footage at the end is gorgeous and very moving! had no clue at elmo’s fire theme was written about him!  First tiff screeningggg!!

    I'm a Canadian working for a disability charity, and even I didn't know the full depths of Hansen's story. An exceptionally crowdpleasing and well crafted doc about one of the finest Canadians and advocates to ever live.

    Saw this at TIFF with Rick and Amanda in the room. Truly inspiring movement that shines a light on how inaccessible the 80s were. Hard not to shed tears. Man in motion had me feeling e-motions 😅
