This movie is better than the first. The acting and poor line was amazing and unexpected. I usually feel sequels never add up and this one better than the first. Jolie’s character and acting were on par and Disney did a great job!

A wonderful sequel that takes off after happily every after. This is a movie that was fun to watch as it continues to twist the fairy tale we know. It's a great movie if you enjoy found family tropes with a healthy dose of fantasy.

An uninspired and unnecessary sequel that won’t leave you spellbound. There’s neither enough Maleficent or genuine magic to make it worth a revisit.

Every conceivable button is pushed to achieve rote satisfaction in young viewers, while any notion of creating tension and suspense is dutifully ignored. Not for a moment is actual peril considered as something worthy of a dramatic climax.

In transforming folk metaphors into utilitarian attributes of an action hero, Disney exposes the emptiness of their product.
