Didn’t stop violently sobbing for over an hour after this. Cried through the whole film. Brilliantly performed, true-to-life story about the different forms love takes and healing from grief. Made me relive every feeling I felt losing family. Very lucky to have seen in theatres.

Between Cox’s writing and Morrison’s direction, the cast finds great texture in places where the material feels a bit frail and manages to make it their own, which is why Love of Your Life remains easy to care about, even when its ideas feel familiar. It’s not going to break new ground in terms of romantic dramas, but Qualley and the people around her make sure it still leaves a mark.
