Hated the pedo even more in this adaptation probably because this one is more explicit. If you’re interested in the story but have strong triggers watch the 60’s. Still a good movie tho & very depressing Also you’re a terrible person if you romanticize this.

In many ways, the concept underlying Lolita is more provocative than the actual material, which tends to be a bit long-winded. This is more the fault of the book than of Lyne's approach.
