Synopsis

After a chance meeting while traveling the countryside, a man and a woman become suspected of murder. They start to leave a lot of dead bodies in their wake, but, unbeknownst to the police, the real culprits are living dead zombies.

    65 A little slow out of the gate, but it eventually balances social commentary with some gnarly practical effects. Found a scene in a crypt to be very claustrophobic and scary.

    Very Night of the Living Dead, 70s style and Italian. Radioactive zombies with cool contact lenses, attacking with whatever they can find. The plot is pretty random, but the ending has a juicy and fleshy twist.

There are some cheesy moments (and gaping plot inconsistencies) as one might expect. But any laughter soon turns to screaming as the screen fills with calculated gory mayhem and some fine shock moments.
