Everyone in our family from 5 - 34 thought it was hilarious
I absolutely loved the movie me and my girlfriend this is one of those children’s movies that has jokes for adults that kids won’t understand.
Took my 3 y/o granddaughter to see this. It was her first movie in a theater. She was entertained the whole time and we really enjoyed this movie. Unique story line. Very cute movie. Will definitely watch it again!
Very touching and cute!
Great message, but fun for adults too.
Had just the right amount of singing and dialog.
Loved the message for kids.
It was funny and loved the message behind it. my teenagers enjoyed it.
My kids enjoyed this movie but, honestly, I was surprised with how much I really enjoyed it as well. This is a great pick for family movie night.
Great message about kids mental health
Expected a little weirdness from Adam Sandler but there was way more than there should've been. When making a movie for kids leave the questionable things out. Not a bad movie but when I'm in a theater for a kids movie on pins and needles because I'm thinking to myself, "don't say anything bad." There's a problem.
My Grandson (4) loved it and said it was fun
Very cute movie. A lot of funny moments. My little one giggled a lot!
great movie
I love all the sweet messages for kids going through different issues. Sweet moments of tears with plenty of moments to laugh. As an only child whose best friend was a dog, it reminded me so much about how my childhood dog was my confidant. If only she had talked back :)
We absolutely loved it!!
Leo is great for kids in the elementary school and parents.
Loved the movie kept me laughing and surprised as well as cute, definitely recommend it. Was not boring or tiresome. It does have some singing but not a lot to the point you want to take your eyes off the screen.
Adam Sandler did an awesome job in this movie. The character he played was awesome and I spiring to children.
Just an overall funny and entertaining movie for the family to watch together.

Great message in the movie. It was funny, heartfelt and just a good time.
The message was great and I laughed thru the whole movie!
Didn’t expect much from a Netflix movie to be honest. But I admit it was actually really good. Worth watching. Good message relatable to todays kids and adults.
Definitely a kids movie. Had a good story line and message though.
A family Must see!!!
I saw this with my daughter (a teacher) and my granddaughter. I think we enjoyed it as much if not more than the little one! Well done and awesome lessons
Was cute just too much singing
Very funny movie. We all enjoyed it.
It was hilarious and entertaining! Great lessons for both adults and children, lots of kid friendly jokes with many hidden adults jokes as well!
Great kids movie. Great message
Absolutely loved it ! Love Adam Sandler !!!
Great movie that all generations should watch!
Enjoyed it, definitely some questionable things for younger kids, but overall funny and good movie.
I left my tickets and dudnt go
A bit slow at first but warmed up to it after singing beginning
Dialog too fast for <2nd graders
I didn’t get to see it
My whole family loved it. 3yrs all the way to 36… my 3 yr old sat and watched the whole thing..
The whole family enjoyed the movie, crear message. Will watch again
A great family movie. I would say it borderline a coming of age for our aoon to be middle schoolers. I saw it with my soon to be Middle Schooler and it was comfortable. Tbh wouldn't pay to see it, but for Netflix it's a great fit.
The movie was good. Some of the dialogue was questionable for a kids movie but my kids loved it.
I enjoyed it but many jokes were from my time and not hers, so the jokes were not hilarious for her.
Like all kid movies there are adult jokes that kids don’t get. It wasn’t too much in my opinion and I laughed, the kids laughed. Some actual life lessons were taught or mentioned in the movie and I thought that was awesome. Especially in todays society. Would definitely watch again. Can’t wait for it to be released.
Metacritic
Leo can sometimes have a jolt of energy from its slapstick sequences or its bright color palette, in which Leo the lizard flies through the air, floats on a bubble, or meets other talking animals. But it's all defined by its assembly line animation, in which the spell of watching life-like characters and settings can be easily broken by looking at the backgrounds of shots for just a few seconds.

From references to Lin-Manuel Miranda (Moana) to songs that don’t rhyme and even metalinguistic performances – the one with the clocks is especially good because it completely underscores a particular character’s personality – Leo shows a surprising level of maturity that we’ve only come to expect from Pixar and Studio Ghibli films.
Brightly animated and with moments of surprising insight, there’s a warm likability to Leo that radiates, for those still in the classroom and those who left it long ago.
