Moviegoers are saying
Reviewers are split between swooning and sparring over the ending. One fan calls it a bittersweet epilogue where Sebastian's 'Seb's' club is a memory dedicated to the love of his life, while another argues Mia's selfishness is the real reason it fell apart. Even the viewers who say it 'still gets me everytime' treat the film as a rite of passage, and the debates about that final trumpet note are half the fun.

FramesofnickJul 30, 2020I want to take some time to talk about the Epilogue of the film. I've heard many different theories about what the Epilogue truly means. The reality is the idea that true love is being willing to make sacrifices. In this Epilogue, Sebastian was far more willing to make…

Connor Crittenden dislikedLa La LandMight not be a popular take but the casting didn’t seem right to me and the music was LA LA LAME but I did enjoy the color scheming throughout
Peyton lovedLa La LandThis is literally one of the best movies I have ever seen. I don’t even like musicals but it fits the movie perfectly. The look at the end… they are meant to be. Only con is the floating scene. Also shoutout to Paige saying that Mia reminds her of me. Rate: 10/10

Can’t believe it took this long for me to finally watch it, but it was just as great as everyone says. While I don’t think Gosling has an amazing singing voice, the fact that he was actually playing piano was incredible. The ending though🥺 9/10

I was utterly absorbed by this movie’s simple storytelling verve and the terrific lead performances from Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone who are both excellent – particularly Stone, who has never been better.
