I've seen critics bash this movie. This movie had my full attention from start to finish. Go watch the movie & decide for yourselves.
A thought-provoking movie. I enjoyed it.
Surprisingly Good!
I have to say this movie was surprisingly good. I was expecting it to be just another horror film, but it was much more. The entire cast was so very good. The film had my entire attention throughout the entire run time and then I found myself thinking about the film long after leaving the theatre.
To all the M. Night Shyamalan haters. This movie was great, it really made you think about what you would do if faced with the challenge of killing one of your own family in order to save the entire world. I loved the intense acting it made it more immersive. Wait for the Easter egg infomercial as is standard with Shyamalan’s movies :)
Movie was okay but I believe OLD was better in my opinion.
First of all, I’ve never seen a storyline like this before. Second of all, read my title. This movie is a tweak. It really gets you thinking. I’m not even religious or anything but I do feel like what happens in the movie is a possibility. Don’t wanna spoil it. Go see it for yourself. It’s good.
The movie was pretty good and straight to the point
It was good and bad at times so it’s not a movie I would tell my friends to see
Needed to be more visual and rated R
I didn't know where the plot was headed
It was slow and boring, I almost fell asleep, I HIGHLY recommend wait till Netflix has if that. Other than that., however I saw ALOT. of great trailers
It feels incomplete
definitely kept our attention and inspired thought throughout the movie. Acting was good, was really lacking a better back story
Straight forward and surprisingly good
M. Night returning to his roots! Great movie!!
Elevated horror is definitely intense
typical of his movies
the twist was that there was no twist. it was just there being told to you
Worst movie. Don’t watch it
Predictable ending
so stupid, so slow, waste of my life I won't get back
i enjoyed this film. it was different from any movie I've seen recently. I would've liked to have seen a bit more for the ending, but overall, i enjoyed the film.
Acting is 5 STARS!! The storyline could have gone in so many different ways to make it more interesting and twisted.
This movie wasn’t bad one of knights better movies he’s done in awhile
Religious propaganda. Don’t bother.
Intense to the very end!
would love to have known the plot better never found out
Surprisingly good. Great storyline.
This movie seemed like it was pointing at gay people for ending the world. It leaned heavily upon gay themes and tropes, with a slow ride towards an unsatisfying ending. I wanted to boo but I sat through the mess and regretted not leaving sooner. Terrible.
Great performances by Bautista, Grint, Groff, and others, but the story was so straightforward that the most surprising thing was that there were no surprises.
Confusing and filled with plot holes. I’ll always be a fan of early M. Night Shyamalan.
Metacritic
M. Night Shyamalan can be too fuzzy, earnest and full of himself. But this doomsday thriller starring a never-better Dave Bautista as a modern horseman of the apocalypse confirms that the Sixth Sense maestro knows how to fill the screen with tension and squeeze.
Shyamalan’s latest cinematic confrontation with mortality and meaning, Knock at the Cabin, is among his best work.

More than just misunderstood, his characters are underwritten and underserved. Thus the expected emotion never arrives. The gut punch never comes, even as music swells. All of this fear fizzles; message, story, and figures become transient. It starts with so much promise, only to end as a letdown–like waiting for the end of the world only for the storm to pass.
