Atom User Reviews for King Kong (1933) presented by TCM
A real treat to see on the big screen.
Movie was great. Always love the intros provided by TCM. AMC theater started the movie 30 minutes late which was a big bummer.
At 60 years of age, I have been waiting my whole life to see tis on the big screen. I can only imagine what it must have been like in 1933 to see this magnificent epic and be awed and amazed.
Shared this screening with my 7-year old grandson. Maybe it will inspire him the way it did me and lend me to work in the industry I love. It was awesome seeing it on the big screen again.
This movie had to be seen big! Yea I know - its great that we can stream all kinds movies into our homes. But to see something like this the way it was meant to be seen - it is amazing! So glad I took the time to see this.
The movie was more fun by watching with fans who also loved the movie. Ben's comments were very interesting. Good time!!
It was wonderful to see it on the big screen!
This is the first time I ever saw this film all the way from start to finish. Although the employees at AMC Concord Mills started the movie 15 minutes late and I think they didn’t play the intro before the movie started. All in all a great time though.
If you like King Kong than you should watch this even though it was out dated I still fairly enjoy the movie
Movie was great but started late and if I’d known the theatre was just going to stream from TCM on Dish I wouldn’t have bought the tockets
what Willis Obrien created with a steel skeleton. beaver fur and shooting 24 frames per second for every movement Kong makes is still a stunning achievement. None of the post 1933 Kong movies have come close. Even with all the technical advances that film makers have now.
This is the film that launched 1000 careers! So many of us began our interest in working on films because of KING KONG! Still the best!
