Joe AJun 23, 2024I hate how Lanthimos edits his movies, I hate where he places his camera, I hate how he moves his camera, I hate how he directs his actors, I hate how he uses his score, I hate his sense of humor, I hate his use of dissolves, his use of black-and-white, I hate every single…

8.5 - Yorgos Lanthimos is a madman. This is an absolute heat check coming on the heels of Poor Things, which I think was his masterpiece. I didn’t like it nearly as much. I don’t think I even understand all of what I watched. And I’m completely torn on if I want to watch it again right away or…
It's a miracle I even finished this, consciously or not. I didn't expect a 3 in 1, nor do I want one. Please stick to sequels or series. Lucky for Yorgos, I love his visual originality. Unlucky for Yorgos I hate his storytelling. Painstakingly slow, full of riddles and analogies and meanings, and…

funny haha AND funny weird. 10/10 on the 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 scale. This film was bonkers and I loved it!!! Thank you Yorgos for making this film and a personal Thank you to my friend Haley for blessing my theater experience 🙂↕️ also HIGHLY recommend going in blind. Lastly, I left this film wanting to…
I mean, yeah. My type of movie, off beat, funny, weird, confusing, and obv the cast kills it every time. After learning this and poor things are semi connected, I def want to watch them back to back!
This is an anthology with the same ensemble portraying different characters with each story connected by the theme suggested by the title of the film and one unchanging character, RMF. Everything is intentional even the unnatural sounding speech patterns presented throughout.❤️💛💙

Phenomenal. It’s no “Poor Things” but it’s still phenomenal and the best film of 2024. Misanthropic and funny. It explores power dynamics, power/control and reflects human nature. Those themes along with R.M.F. connect the stories. It’s tough to decide on what’s the best story.
Glad this was a triptych cause I was getting bored. Each story was messed up in its own way & the acting/script was strange, as to be expected from Yorgos. My favorite part is Emma’s dance & the irony of the 3rd story’s ending. Overall, meh. Some stuff still makes no sense.

Easily top 3 for the year, will revisit over and over. A film that won’t ever quit leave you.
JGJuan GranadosSo many needless sex scenes
SXSergio XWTF! A Bizarre mess that escalates with every chapter with no fulfilling conclusion or tying thread to each story. The last minute in the movie is the only entertaining 60 seconds of the entire runtime. I wish I could have the time spent back watching this mess hoping for…

AWAbby WestgateDon’t see this unless you want to be freaked out and disturbed. I’m sure there’s some artistic merit to it, I just can’t get past how disturbed it is. Don’t take children to see this either.
